3 Ways Your Company Benefits from Giving Back
Giving back to the community is a pillar for us at All Points PR. Every quarter, our agency gathers for our Positive Impact program to volunteer at a Chicagoland nonprofit. This quarter, we helped pack 25,488 meals with Feed My Starving Children – enough meals to feed 70 children for an entire year!
We’re proud to support such a notable organization and its mission to end childhood hunger across the world. Check out a few highlights from the day:
While anyone can participate in community service, businesses have the opportunity to make a greater impact than individuals alone. Any amount of participation, large or small, moves the needle in a positive direction, benefiting not only the community, but employee morale overall.
Here are three key benefits companies will reap when giving back:
-
Making your community a better place to live
Getting involved with charitable organizations and volunteer opportunities demonstrates concern for your community’s well-being, creating a better place to live and work for the company, its employees, and community members. By giving back to your local community, you deepen the connection and make a positive difference in others’ lives.
-
Bringing the Team Together
Along with doing good, allowing employees the opportunity to engage outside the workplace builds bonds and creates a positive company culture. By organizing a volunteer event, you bring people together, raise awareness and help your staff feel good about making a positive impact on their community.
-
Attracting Top Tier Talent
More and more employees, especially among Millennials and Gen Z, who represent almost 50% of the workforce, are looking for their employers to be more charitable. Not only does this generation want to work for a company that’s doing good, but they also want to get their hands dirty and participate. More than ever, meaningful engagement behind corporate philanthropy is impacting the ways companies attract and retain talent.
