Sydney Gives a Refresher on Organization During the June Team Seminar
At All Points, organization plays a crucial role in our ability to meet and exceed client expectations. We have many tasks that require our attention, and in order to make sure we manage our time well, we use a variety of organization tactics.
We have a strategic set of processes and systems in place that each team member follows. For example, we have monthly update reports that we complete for each client. We update these as the month goes on, which allows us to keep track of press coverage and expectations.
In addition to our office-wide processes, we all have individual systems in place for managing and keep tracking of media contacts, pitching priorities, press release development and press placements.
One of the great things about our team is that we are always willing to share our individual organization practices with each other. This month, Account Lead Sydney Trepel led the June seminar on organization.
During her presentation, she highlighted three different tactics she uses personally and a few she picked up from other team members.
In the office, we have found Evernote to be a great tool. Not only does this program have a great share feature, but it also has a mobile app. This is a convenient feature because we can keep track of our ideas and tasks wherever we are as long as we have Internet access. The app is also searchable, so it’s easy to quickly find what you’re looking for via mobile.
Other tools we utilize are Excel and traditional planners and calendars. Many team members use Excel to keep track of media contacts, press placements and pitching priorities. Others prefer to write things down in planners or on a calendar.
Thanks Sydney for giving the team a refresher on organization. There are dozens of tools available to those looking to streamline their systems and improve their time management practices, all of which make for a more organized client experience.
Stay tuned for next month’s seminar.
