Jackson Lewis Introduces All Points PR to the Codex
As franchise PR professionals, we invest a bulk of each day into building strong relationships with members of the media. We regularly inquire about what our contacts are working on and the topics they are interested in so we, in turn, can, present new, unique and broadly relevant story ideas for their consideration. On any given day, the All Points team connects with hundreds of reporters, editors and television producers on behalf of our clients.
As such, it’s important to find a strategy that allows us to efficiently keep track of every press contact we have worked with. For example, if a client had plans to open multiple franchises in Tampa over the next two years, we would need stay in touch with the same local reporters with updates. In other cases, we might reach out to a reporter we have worked with in the past and inquire about a follow-up interview with one of our other clients. In all cases, it would be difficult to manage these situations without some sort of organizational strategy.
The September seminar, held by All Points’ PR Associate Jackson Lewis, introduced our team to a system that helps track our valuable media connections, their areas of coverage, contact information and more. Dubbed the “Codex,” the system emphasizes the importance of staying organized and efficient in our day-to-day work. With the potential to shave off many hours from our online research, we look forward to fully integrating the Codex office-wide.
Stay tuned for Callie’s seminar in October!
