Smoke’s Burritorie Writes a New Chapter in Burrito History

Toronto Location Busts Out New Custom Menu, Sauce Bar and Wacky Burritos

TORONTO – The burrito world will never be the same.

Smoke’s Burritorie, the burrito concept herding spicy sauces and wacky toppings to Canada, today announced that the brand has unrolled a new menu. Fans can experience the new offerings for the first time at the Smoke’s Burritorie Toronto location, situated at 218 Adelaide Street West. The brand’s new and exciting menu is taking the classic burrito to a whole new dimension with items that include hand rolled and toasted burritos, wacky burritos and cigar burritos, as well as countless customization options that the brand is offering through its new sauce bar, crunch station and Death Sauce. To celebrate, the Toronto location also plans to serve free guacamole with any order throughout the month of March.

Guests can now create their own burritos using the brand’s endless customization options, which are broken down into five steps: Saddle Up, Get Rollin’, Load Up, Get Saucy, and Crunch It! Designed to make sure every burrito and burrito bowl is brought to life, the steps allow guests to choose from a variety of hearty proteins such as chicken, steak, chorizo, pulled pork or glazed yams, and an endless assortment of toppings and sauces.

“Our fans spoke and we delivered,” said Ryan Smolkin, CEO (Chief Entertainment Officer) and founder of Smoke’s Burritorie. “One big request was a custom-made menu, so we went out there and created the most personalized burrito experience you can imagine. Now, fans can make a truly kick ass burrito that is true to their taste, personality and expectations.”

The new menu boasts a creative collection of wacky concoctions that will redefine the term “burrito” for years to come. Dubbed with names like Pad Thai, Chicken & Waffles, Spaghetti & Meatballs and Poutine, there are no limits for creativity when it comes to the new wacky burrito menu. These burritos encourage guests to take their taste buds through a unique and delicious journey, in true Smoke’s Brands fashion, where any favourite dish can be “burrito-ized” in a wild and wacky way.

Additionally, Smoke’s Burritorie now features a crunch station, which allows guests to add a variety of toppings to their burritos, such as hickory sticks, crushed tortilla chips, potato chips and crispy onions. By increasing the crunch factor of their burritos, guests can relish in the fact that they have created a truly unique burrito that can be found nowhere else.

After guests have gone through the line, they can choose to experience the new Smoke’s Burritorie sauce bar, which is equipped with 20 different sauces that cover every inch of the flavour spectrum. Made exclusively for the purpose of bringing any burrito to life, the sauces include flavours such as Buffalo Wing, Thai Sweet Chili and Cat Got Your Tongue, and more, to provide a spicy, sweet or tangy touch.

For those who like to feel an inescapable, tongue-paralyzing burn, Smoke’s Burritorie also offers a new Death Sauce made with some of the hottest peppers on the planet, which is available upon the signing of a safety waiver. Once the order is placed, flashing lights and an alarm will go off to warn others about the brave soul that has entered the restaurant. If guests are successful in eating an entire burrito with Death Sauce, and enduring the intense build up of heat, they will earn a badge of accomplishment for their heroic feat and a voucher for a free burrito.

Smoke, the gastronomical genius and creator of Smoke’s Burritorie, wants to celebrate the changes in the best way that he can – with good company, free guacamole and a glorious appetite. For this reason, he’s coined the phrase, Great burritos? You bet your ass!

This epic announcement also marks the anniversary of Smoke’s unexpected visit to the remote Mexican beach that inspired Smoke’s Burritorie. After being washed up on the shore, found by local donkey herders and revived by a village doctor with medical burritos, Smoke dreamed up Smoke’s Burritorie to honor his saviours. Brought to life by marketing genius Ryan Smolkin, and revered throughout Canada, Smoke’s Burritorie is now revealing a few special surprises to commemorate this special milestone.

“Smoke faxed me this morning to tell me he’s excited about the new look and feel of the Toronto location,” said Smolkin. “Now, he’s ready to celebrate.”
