All Points PR Associates Share Major Takeaways from Recent Conferences
At All Points PR, professional development is a major component to our team’s ongoing growth – it’s what helps to keep the agency full of fresh ideas, creativity and enthusiasm. We often have team members attending seminars and conferences – we like to think of it as an investment in the agency. Recently, PR associates Niveen Saleh and Bailey Hewitt attended relevant industry conferences. Together, they hosted the December monthly team seminar sharing major takeaways from the conferences.
Niveen went to the International Foodservice and Editorial Council (IFEC) conference in Portland, Maine where there were more than 50 members of the press present. She met with reporters from QSR Magazine, Fast Casual, FSR Magazine and many others.
Niveen told the team about the expected food trends for 2016 (look for more of an emphasis placed on ingredients in food, not what is not in the food). She also heard insight from reporters about the important components of a good story, such as the significance of high-resolution photos.
Bailey attended the PR News Measurement Conference in Chicago where she learned about the changing conversation on how best to report PR results. There were different speakers from small and large corporations, such as General Mills and MasterCard, who shared their innovative tactics for measuring PR efforts. Bailey learned about the need to report PR results to clients in a way that resonates with both the marketing and executive teams. She discovered the importance of approaching the idea of measurement with an open mind, so we can modify the reporting process as PR tactics change and new media types form.
Stay tuned for next month’s seminar!
