Russo’s Restaurants Names Seasoned Franchise and Corporate Expert Steve Hubbard as Director of Operations

HOUSTON – Russo’s Restaurants, which includes Russo’s New York Pizzeria as well as Russo’s Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen, announced today the appointment of Steve Hubbard as its new director of operations.

In his new role as director of operations, Hubbard will focus his efforts toward planning operational excellence within Russo’s. He will manage and increase the efficiency of processes within the company and will enhance the communication between the brand’s corporate and franchise sectors. He has a significant role in making decisions within Russo’s financial management, organizational effectiveness, organizational leadership and risk management.

“We were striving to find someone for this role with a strong operational background complemented with a lifelong passion for cooking,” said Chef Anthony Russo, owner and CEO of Russo’s Restaurants. “That’s how we know we absolutely hit the jackpot with Hubbard—he embodies and exceeds those two important qualities.”

Hubbard has utilized his enthusiasm toward operations and passion for food throughout his successful career within both corporate and franchise businesses. A seasoned restaurant operator, Hubbard has more than 20 years of experience working with Applebee’s and Apple Investors Group.

Much like Chef Anthony Russo, Hubbard developed his passion for cooking at a young age. He grew up cooking for his parents and seven siblings and used his talent to pay his way through college. Now, Hubbard can be found in the kitchen during his time off passing down his “tools-of-the-trade” to his children.

Dozens more are expected to open in the next three to five years. The concept has gained recognition for its remarkably fresh food and the affordable price of menu options. Preparation of pure ingredients and the execution of memorable Italian food keep customers coming back for more.
