Russo’s New York Pizzeria Signs Five-Unit Development Deal

Authentic Italian Concept to Open Fast Casual New York Pizzeria Locations in the Tampa Bay Area

TAMPA, Fla. – Russo’s New York Pizzeria, the well-known, chef driven, fast casual Italian restaurant franchise that brings to life old-world charm and hospitality, announced today a multi-unit agreement in Tampa Bay that further advances the company’s strategic growth initiative.

The Houston-based brand, which has a collection of more than 73 restaurants open or under development, has completed a deal to bring five new franchised locations across Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater. With its focus on fresh ingredients and the genuine Italian flair the brand has become known for, the time has never been better to introduce Russo’s New York Pizzeria to Tampa Bay.

“The newly formed deal represents a significant step in our franchise development strategy,” said Chef Anthony Russo, founder and CEO of Russo’s Restaurants. “Russo’s has the ability to fully immerse itself into the fabric of many of America’s most attractive communities, and we are thrilled to introduce our unique and beloved brand to new markets throughout this attractive region.”

Russo’s New York Pizzeria and its traditional Italian recipes trace their origins to a tight-knit family where the kitchen was the center of activity.

Along with its sister brand, Russo’s Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen, Russo’s New York Pizzeria has garnered a cult-like following for its truly authentic and delicious Italian dishes made from the freshest ingredients, and its New York-style pizza. The restaurants blend premium recipes with the freshest ingredients that are all natural with no preservatives, no additives and zero trans-fats. Chef Russo’s family promise, “If it isn’t fresh, don’t serve it!” is the mantra of each and every franchisee who has been certified and mastered the Russo’s brand operating criteria.

“We are advancing our strategic growth plan in 2016 with plans to add 20 to 30 restaurants in the next three years. The new phase of franchising will more than double our number of international and domestic locations,” said Jim Carr, director of franchise development for Russo’s Restaurants. “In addition to growth in U.S. markets, we are in discussions with developers in France, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, Thailand and China. The world is becoming infatuated with Russo’s.”

The majority of Russo’s Restaurants locations are in south central Texas. There are additional U.S. multi-unit franchise opportunities throughout attractive markets in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, Hawaii and internationally. Plus, territories throughout the Great Plains, South and East Coast are key expansion regions.
