The most adventurous thing I've done was hike up Mount Arakura to view Mt. Fuji. All of the signs were in Japanese so I had no idea where I was but I knew I wanted to reach the top of the mountain for the view. The elevation was 1189 meters and I had nothing with me except my backpack with a polaroid camera and half a water bottle. The view was worth it!
