18|8 Fine Men’s Salons Names Katie Riordan Vice President of Operations

Seasoned Industry Leader to Guide Nationwide Expansion and Brand Innovation

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – 18|8 Fine Men’s Salons, the only men’s salon catering to a discerning clientele with an upscale suite of hair care and grooming services, announced today the appointment of franchise and salon industry veteran Katie Riordan as Vice President of Operations to lead 18|8’s growth as a premier, nationwide brand.

“Katie emerged as the natural choice to lead 18|8’s development and growth,” said Scott Griffiths, founder and CEO of 18|8. “Katie is the type of high-caliber leader that can take our brand to the next level. Her history of success and vast knowledge of both the salon and franchising industries will be key assets as we extend our reach across the country.”

Prior to joining 18|8 Fine Men’s Salons, Riordan led franchise operations development and held key positions for several well-known brands, including Great Clips, Supercuts, Regis Corporation, Target Corporation and Comfort Keepers Franchising. Riordan has successfully managed the growth of many companies within the salon industry and has worked in a variety of roles to collaborate with and support franchisees with a wide array of brand initiatives.

“Now is the perfect time for me to join the 18|8 family,” said Riordan. “18|8 is a brand on the verge of explosive growth. I’m blown away with how passionate and driven everyone here is to make 18|8 the best in the world. The intelligence, expertise, energy, collaboration, trust and passion amongst this team is unlike anything I’ve been a part of.”

Riordan brings more than two decades of experience to the salon concept that introduced men to customized grooming services in a welcoming environment designed specifically for them. Specializing in developing strong relationships – both on the corporate and franchisee levels – Riordan credits her success to her entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for connecting with others. The combination of her experience in corporate and franchise operations, as well as her passion for people, make her a unique and strong contributor, team player and leader.

“I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to help build the 18|8 brand,” added Riordan. “It’s a role I’ve cherished in previous positions, but now, at this stage of my career, where I have even more experience and a broader set of tools that I can bring to the table, it’s an extremely exciting task to be challenged with.”
